Assassin's Creed Reveals Unexpected Attack on Titan Crossover for Thanksgiving

In a unexpected collaboration that breaks usual expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Revealed

According to the authorized release, "A mysterious encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of banned practices and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The storyline features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden cult.

The mission focuses on "peculiar trials and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Changes

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Prizes and Extra Material

Players who finish the adventure will receive an unique katana in addition to multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

• Survey Corps steed

Newest Free Story Addition

This patch also introduces the game's latest free story content, titled "The Enigma." This playful mission pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they trade distinctive abilities: Naoe reveals a dramatic version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters non-fatal stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Mystery" also includes a fresh environmental puzzle that may ultimately shed light on some lingering questions from the main storyline.
