"That's a little unusual but then, I enjoy sprinting and just go inside - I'm not staying back that much," he said.

"I warn my defender 'I'm not staying' and that I'm just going to continue attacking.

"That running is what I'm seeking. It's enjoyable."

Along with the forward's 6 scores on debut, Ireland has scored 8 in three games for Wythenshawe, while Boyd hit 5 on his debut match and Joleon Lescott, a defender by trade, scored a hat-trick in one game as a striker.

Wythenshawe are leading of the Top Division with three victories from three and a GD of +19.

One opponent, thirty-eight, who features on the wing for Collegiate OB, came up against former Wigan defender Figueroa on the weekend - and had to explain his young son who Heskey was.
