Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Predictions — With Some Positive Updates

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video this week, and audience theories has been rampant.

The first season introduces a diverse group of personalities residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and establishes tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the binding agreement constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with fan service specifically in mind," the creator commented earlier this year. "But I feel like me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season moves, and how much of what they're anticipating happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some incredible reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a couple people make a bingo card about season 2," she mentions. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
